ITE's online examination system went kaput today

By Training_Focus4060

Just for context, I am a student enrolled at the Institue of Technical Education's (ITE) College East. We were slated to sit for a 9am computer-based paper, so I made my way 30 minutes prior to the stipulated examination venue.

The clock struck nine, and the invigilator instructed us to log into the Integrated Assessment System (IAS). That's when all hell broke loose, for the system continuously hung as well as crashed. No one, I mean no one, managed to successfully enter the portal. The IAS, to our frustration, simply kept returning an "offline" message. This, while we could surf the internet with no problems whatsoever.

Long story short, we remained hearts in mouths, helpless altogether for two whole hours. Thereafter, the invigilator informed everyone that the examination was rescheduled for next week; apparently, the IAS was totally down across all three ITE campuses.

Like, seriously??? Whatever happened to backup servers or contingency plans?
