 Mr Edwin Cheng is an effective and dynamic tutor who specializes in giving English tuition to secondary and primary school students. He is currently the Principal Master Tutor and founder of EduEdge Learning Hub. As a student, Mr Cheng struggled with the English language and had his fair share of frustrations. He was a science-stream student all the way from primary to junior college level. It was not until he made a switch over to the Arts faculty in University that he became more attuned with his right brain, where it dawned upon him there was actually a ‘science’ behind how the English language worked.
Armed with this newfound knowledge and marrying it with his prior scientific background, he began developing a unique, scientific teaching methodology towards helping students learn English in a structured way known as the ‘SPARK’ framework. The 'SPARK' Teaching Methodology demystifies language learning by applying a 'Science' to the teaching of the subject - namely, via the following processes: Scan - Plan - Action - Review - Knowledge.
With 10 years+ of private tutoring as well as 7 years+ of public school teaching experience under his wing, Mr Cheng possesses a wealth of experience working with students from different entry levels, ranging from neighbourhood schools to schools with higher academic demands.
