I believe in making sure each student achieves his potential. Typically, with the constant guidance, students improve by at least 2 grades. There is nothing more immensely satisfying than to know you have helped make Chemistry more accessible to the students. Sometimes, the students who come to me have weak foundation and struggle with even the simple questions. However, a couple of intensive revision lessons boosts their morale and sends their confidence soaring.
I believe in guiding students patiently. I make use of real-life examples in order to allow students to appreciate Chemistry in context. When students recognize the application of Chemistry in their everyday lives, they no longer need to blindly memorize the accompanying jargon without understanding them. I have been giving upper secondary Chemistry and JC Chemistry tuition for the past 10 years. I was also a school teacher for the past 5 years. Typically, students are provided with concise notes which serves as a summary of the key learning points for each chapter. Students will then do prelim questions in order to apply the concepts. |
