 I studied NUS Mechanical Engineering at NUS under a Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) scholarship from 1997 to 2001. After obtaining a First Class Honours degree and being placed on the Vice Chancellor's List, I continued to pursue my Master of Engineering. As a graduate tutor in 2001-2002, I was responsible for assisting a particular professor in guiding an entire cohort of Mechanical Engineering undergraduates for 3 consecutive semesters (spanning 1.5 years), during which I supervised them for tutorials, laboratory experiments, even administering their online quizzes via a designated learning portal. Upon graduating in 2003, I returned to DSTA to serve out my scholarship bond. However, owing to a deep-seated passion for teaching, I subsequently left around 2007. Over the years, students under my tutelage range widely from those coming from neighbourhood schools, to kids enrolled in top Integrated Program (IP) as well as International Baccalaureate (IB) institutions (NUSH/HCI/RI/RGS/NYGH/DHS/ACSI among others).
