[Video] Boy held at knifepoint made to strip by gang of teenagers

Bullying is, without a shred of doubt, on the rise in Singapore, its perpetrators becoming increasingly emboldened. In a 90-second video snippet captured (courtesy of a reader's contribution, see below), the following incident which occurred next to some boarded-up site shows a boy getting cornered, slapped, then coerced into deciding between stripping naked or being beaten up - when one of the teenage harrassers brazenly brandished a switchblade and pressed it against his neck.

Ever since Mr Desmond Lee took over the reins as Education Minister two months ago in May, he has been eminently silent on the ever-pervasive subject of bullying. Therefore, to Mr Lee, might you care to comment on this particular altercation, or you'd rather leave it to the schools(s) to sort things out per your predecessor, who preferred the laissez-faire approach?

Editor's Note: The police subsequently arrested five youngsters, two of whom were charged in court with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt with common intention.
