I hate my polytechnic course so much!

By IndependenceAlive204

EAE’d into a film/television related course envisioning a bright future ahead. Meeting celebrities, going to actual production sets, forging awesome friendships...hell, perhaps even become famous along the way. Tragically, reality was anything but.

My course intake is relatively small with an enrolment of less than 45, which meant we had only two classes. I went in initially thinking everyone would be chill and play nice, turns out many are either two-faced backstabbers or gossipmongers. Like wtf?

Studies-wise I’m doing pretty okay, although I can hardly say the same for group projects. I have to contend with teammates who love shit talking me - in fact they shit talk everyone, sigh. I don’t fancy my current class, neither do I the other. Everyone there possesses a negative aura which I just absolutely abhor.

Right now I’m torn between switching courses or simply sucking things up. Attempting the former will most likely entail me going through the hassle of logging various paperwork, attending interviews plus some other unforeseen logistical crap, success not guaranteed btw. On the other hand, keeping the status quo might accord me the opportunity to acquire networking skills, however unpleasant the company may be. Question is, can I endure for 3 whole years?

This is giving me an unprecedented migraine.
