NUS Module EC1301 Principles of Economics : A Review

I took it as one of my electives last year. Used 1 bid point, I myself only watched the webcast lectures throughout the whole semester.

This is a must take module if you offered H2 Economics in JC. I would say that the content is 80% similar to that studied in junior college. I didn't attend any lectures at all and just watched a few webcasts. So essentially it is as if I am attempting one module less! Best of all, every assessment is MCQ-based. So even if you suffered in Economics due to your poor essay writing skills in JC, you can still breeze through this module! However, do note while it is easy and you will probably score quite high in the exams, this does not mean you are guaranteed an A grade. This is because most people who take the module are likely to possess some form of Economics background, so the bell curve is crazily steep. A careless mistake could cost you a grade.

That being said, if you have no Economics background, I don't recommend you to take this module at all unless you are really, really interested in Economics and have S/U options to spare.
