Hwa Chong Institution blatantly lied about not censuring students over catered canteen food saga |

By Disgruntled_Hwa_Chongian I am a student presently studying at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI). With regards to an official statement trumpeted by my school about no one getting penalized for speaking out over the trashy SATS-catered canteen meals, do note that it blatantly lied. Provided herein is the evidence:  If you compare the left and right screenshots of HCI's student portal, notice the "My Discipline Records" tab has been surreptitiously removed - all in an attempt to prevent those of us who were slapped with demerit points from logging undeniable proof to dispute the school's farcical claim. I won't be surprised if a counter excuse subsequently gets dangled, probably along the lines of the portal itself 'suddenly' suffering server-side issues. Hwa Chong went way downhill after a new principal took over in 2024, during which he made several unwelcome changes to standing school policies - these including restricting the number of class/event t-shirts, eliminating end-of-year examination exemptions for top percentile scorers (in weighted assessments throughout the year), tearing down various onsite amenities etc, whilst he trained his energies wholeheartedly on steering things like a profit-maximizing corporation rather than bettering our welfare. So to Mr Lee Peck Ping, screw you. |
