Consent form for Covid-19 vaccination of children is irresponsibly worded!

By Lim Tean

Someone recently forwarded me a copy of the consent form to be signed by parents for their young children’s Covid-19 vaccination.

I feel the overall wording of things is both outrageous and highly lackadaisical!

Have parents been made fully cognizant of the associated risks and possible side-effects? Has the Ministry of Health (MOF) disseminated all available literature to the public so that parents are make properly informed decisions?

If the multi-ministry taskforce and Government genuinely wants to encourage children to get vaccinated, it should jolly well bear all responsibility and not hide behind indemnity clauses in the event things go awry!
